    Rick Mihelic is Director Emerging Technologies at the North American Council for Freight Efficiency (NACFE). He has authored NACFE Guidance Reports on electric and alternative fuel medium- and heavy-duty trucks and Confidence Reports and insights on efficiency, aerodynamics, platooning, regional haul, and production. As president of Mihelic Vehicle Consulting LLC, he has 40 years’ experience in the trucking and aerospace industries including 20 years in commercial vehicle development for PACCAR and Peterbilt. He received the 2016 SAE L. Ray Buckendale Award and 2020 SAE Crawford award. Mihelic is an associate editor for the SAE Journal of Commercial Vehicles and an active member of multiple SAE and TMC groups.
