During the ZF Group's Technology Days press event, media had the opportunity to view new products and next-generation technologies the company looks to introduce to the global commercial vehicle market.

The theme of ZF Group's Technology Day press event focused on "the next generation of integrated mobility." 

Journalists and members of the media had the opportunity to view new products and next-generation technologies the company looks to introduce to the global commercial vehicle market, focusing on the following areas:

  • Vehicle motion control
  • Automated driving
  • Integrated safety
  • Electric mobility 

"ZF has a unique position because with these four positions here," said Fredrik Staedtler, executive vice president and head of commercial vehicle technology, ZF Group. "We're four years in these areas and we're seeing many of these trends coming together. You'll see many examples today on these key products."

Some of the new products introduced include:

  • AVE130 electric portal axle.
  • CeTrax central drive system: Available in CeTrax lite, CeTrax mid and CeTrax heavy based on vehicle size, these drive systems are designed to be integrated into any major vehicle without significant chassis changes. A solution that can use existing platforms.
  • ReAX electric power steering (EPS).
  • TraXon hybrid automated manual transmission (AMT).
  • ZF Innovation Truck and Terminal Yard Tractor. This fully automated yard tractor, on display at the event, completely eliminates the driver to help increase safety and reduce accidents.
  • ZF Innovation Van provides a solution for last-mile logistics, and can operate with or without a driver.
  • Next generation interior courier vehicles, with no steering wheel and an updated touchscreen dash which gives occupants more freedom of movement.This design provides flexibility for use for work or personal communication.
