TMC adds new VMRS licensees

Oct. 12, 2021
“By adding to the number of industry partners using VMRS 2.0, we can provide better information to carriers and service providers faster,” said TMC Executive Director Robert Braswell.

TMC has added to the number of industry licensees for the latest version of Vehicle Maintenance Reporting Standards (VMRS).

“By adding to the number of industry partners using VMRS 2.0, we can provide better information to carriers and service providers faster,” said TMC Executive Director Robert Braswell. “I want to thank all of our industry partners for working with us on this important effort.”

As of September 15, the list of those companies who have upgraded to the latest version of VMRS include:

  • Daimler Trucks North America
  • FleetPro
  • Dana Corporation
  • Dayco Corporation
  • Dorman Products
  • Pitstop Connect
  • Managed Mobile Inc.
  • Ranger Excavating
  • Peterbilt of Alaska
  • Georgia Building Authority
  • Nikola Motor
  • Quebec Ministry of Transportation
  • TruNorth Global
  • Metro Vancouver Regional District
  • Mitchell1
  • Nemodata
  • Revecorp
  • Towing Network LLC
  • Pana-Pacific

Daimler Trucks North America has been an established supporter and user of VMRS and continues to be involved with TMC in the creation and adoption of new VMRS codes. TMC looks forward to a continued working relationship with Daimler—as well as all of its VMRS licensees—and appreciates their licensing VMRS Version 2.0.

“I feel joining the ATA TMC will be a tremendous resource for improving our fleet maintenance operations,” said Pete Anderson director of technology/fleet coordinator at Ranger Excavating. “Additionally, the VMRS codes will be key in organizing internal processes and give us flexibility to absorb data into our maintenance system from third parties for better reporting and documentation.”

TMC has expanded the VMRS licensing to now include four different license types that include Electronic Catalog, Corporate Complete, Corporate Developer, and Corporate Distribution. The new licensing will broaden the scope of VMRS and introduce VMRS to a new group of users working in the transportation maintenance industry.

The newest offering—VMRS Electronic Catalog license—is designed for use by parts manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers that want to code their parts or inventories. The license includes access to more than 34,000 Component Codes listed in Code Key 33 and to more than 11,000 Manufacturer/Supplier Brand Codes listed in Code Key 34.
