The review

Joe Marconi, owner of Osceola Garage in Baldwin Place, N.Y., and PTEN Innovation Award Panelist, had this to say about the Bartec TPMS tool:

"It seems every time we turn around there's new equipment to buy to keep pace with today's ever-changing automotive service business. For those of us who choose not just to survive but also thrive, we embrace change and the challenge it brings.

"After testing the Bartec tire pressure monitoring tool, I can assure you that the ease of use and the quick learning curve make this tool a welcome addition to your tool arsenal.

"The user-friendly display table indicates vital technical information such as tire pressure, sensor battery condition, sensor I.D and temperature. The tool also detects a failed sensor, which is important in diagnosing TPMS problems and with reset issues. It will also give you the sensor part number. Entering vehicle information is also user-friendly, as upgrades are available. The tool comes with a user guide and a DVD, which will help to get techs up to speed quickly.

"A nice marketing feature is the ability to download the information to a PC or laptop for printing the customer a copy. Also, you can maintain a library or customer file documenting TPMS data.

"[The display screen] is a little small, but readable. Other than that the Bartec tool appears to be well made ... I recommend it."
