Scenes from WyoTech expansion ribbon cutting

Dec. 8, 2022
The automotive and diesel vocational school recently expanded its Wyoming-based campus as enrollment has exploded at an exponential rate since the school's current president and CEO purchased the private institution in 2018.

LARAMIE–The WyoTech campus in Laramie, Wyoming, recently completed a 90,000 sq.-ft. expansion, including an entirely new building largely dedicated to expanded shop space for the automotive and diesel vocational school’s students. On Nov. 19, 2022, the school celebrated this expansion with an open house and ribbon cutting, allowing visitors from independent shops and members of the local community to explore the school and tour the new area.

In total, the $16-million project added eight new classrooms, expanding the school’s capacity to 1,200 students, all centered around the Dave Kuhn Training Facility. To celebrate, the school held speeches, provided lunch, and posted WyoTech students all throughout the expansion to discuss the added facilities with attendees.
