Velocity Truck Centers to host EV ride and drive

The commercial vehicle dealer, parts supplier, and service provider will hold an EV ride and drive featuring electric offerings from Battle Motor, Daimler, and Rizon.

Velocity Truck Centers, a commercial vehicle dealer, parts supplier, and service provider, will be hosting an Electric Vehicle (EV) Ride + Drive event at Irwindale Speedway on Wednesday, August 23 and Thursday, August 24, 2023. The event will feature Class 4-8 battery-electric vehicles from Battle Motors' EV Fleet alongside Daimler's Freightliner eCascadia, eM2, and Rizon trucks.

"We are incredibly excited to host this groundbreaking event, bringing together some of the most revolutionary electric truck models in the industry," said Conan Barker, President at Velocity Truck Centers. "This event is a prime opportunity for attendees to experience firsthand the immense potential and advantages that electric trucks offer.”

Battle Motors’ EV Fleet will be providing Class 6,7, and 8 vehicles for attendees to experience, all of which highlight their fleet’s power, reliability, and sustainability, the company said. Daimler’s Freightliner eCascadia and eM2 will be demonstrating their efficiency, range, and eco-friendly credentials, the company said, and RIzon Trucks will be providing examples of their Class 4 and 5 vehicles.

The EV Ride + Drive event will take place at Irwindale Speedway, a motorsports facility located at 500 Speedway Dr, Irwindale, CA 91706. The event will run from 9am-4pm on August 23rd-24th, allowing participants ample time to explore and test drive the featured electric trucks and discuss plans with other fleets looking at electrifying.
