ASE opens registration for winter testing

Jan. 15, 2024
Technicians must register by March 31 for the winter testing period, after which they will have 90 days to schedule their exams.

The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence opened registration for the winter testing and recertification period on Jan. 10. Technicians will have 90 days to schedule their testing appointment for their selected exams if they register by the March 31 deadline.

Registrants have three options for their ASE testing. First, they can sign up for in-person testing, which is available for all potential exams and offered throughout the year during days, nights, and weekends. In-person testing is offered at over 450 proctored locations at Prometric test centers.

Additionally, technicians can register for online remote testing offered through ProProctor, however, this option is only offered for all recertification tests. Technicians can also renew their A1-A9 certifications with the ASE renewal app, as long as they are not expired.

To register for ASE exams, technicians must select the available testing options for whichever tests they want to take by logging in to their ASE account, selecting ‘Orders’ and then ‘Store.’ Once their tests have been added to their cart, they may check out, and will be able to schedule a testing date.
