The Feds want your input on connected vehicles

Nov. 10, 2014
The input will help the U.S. DOT with its connected vehicle technologies plans.

Here’s an opportunity to have a say in the future of connected vehicles.

The U.S. Department of Transportation is seeking input on the Federal Highway Administration’s 2015 Guidance for Connected Vehicles and the Formation of a V2I Deployment Coalition.

National associations, including the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, the Institute of Transportation Engineers and ITS America are working together to form a Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I) Deployment Coalition.

The U.S. DOT wants to know what would best support decision making and deployments of connected vehicles for transportation at the state and local level.

You can review source materials and provide comments at: http://www.its.dot.gov/meetings/v2i_feedback.htm.

Interested parties may provide comments on the initial draft guidance through November 14, 2014.
