Kolman’s Komments: Am I seeing things?

Brighten up the parts and inventory rooms.

Plastic pallets are often used in closed loop supply chain networks due to their rugged yet lightweight construction and extended service lives. However, these same features make plastic pallets more vulnerable to theft.

Pallet pool rental companies have long used black and blue color schemes to identify their wooden pallets and prevent losses. Plastic pallet manufacturers, on the other hand, have been slow to deviate from traditional black and blue resins when producing pallets.

That has changed. Litco International offers a 48” x 40” high visibility pink plastic pallet, with a 2,000-lb dynamic load capacity, which provides a quick way to visually identify pallets. Plus, the pink color is less appealing to thieves.

The pink pallets also add a bit of color to brighten up typically drab parts and inventory storage areas.
