The recent Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) 2016 Annual Meeting & Transportation Technology Exhibition marked the event’s 60th anniversary.
Held in Nashville, Tenn., this meeting had the largest attendance, the most first-time attendees and the largest-ever exhibit hall which featured the offerings of some 400 companies, including every major truck manufacturer and component supplier, said TMC officials.
They attributed this to the commercial vehicle maintenance industry’s need to stay abreast of constantly changing equipment, maintenance and technology issues.
I always look forward every TMC meeting because they serve as excellent opportunities to learn through the many educational sessions, featured speakers and the transportation technology exhibition which features the very latest products, technologies and solutions.
The sessions and workshops get into all aspects of vehicle maintenance and design, and include information on equipment and technology specifications and maintenance best practices.
Moreover, TMC meetings provide a chance to network with attendees that include leading fleet professionals, vehicle manufacturers and component suppliers.
TMC’s next annual meeting is its 2016 Fall Meeting & National Technician Skills Competition, taking place this Sept. 19 to 22, in Raleigh, N.C.
The National Technician Skills Competition, TMCSuperTech, is North America’s premier skills competition for professional commercial vehicle technicians.
