Leece-Neville offers starters for school buses

PowerPro starters are designed to reduce maintenance-related downtime, according to the company.

Leece-Neville's PowerPro 5 school bus starters for up to 10L diesel engines are offered in a compact, space-saving design. Each 100-percent new, drop-in replacement PowerPro 5 school bus starter provides "high-torque, high-power" starts.

PowerPro starters are designed to reduce maintenance-related downtime. Each PowerPro 5 starter includes an electrical Soft-Start Relay that allows the pinion to properly engage the ring before cranking. Each starter also includes Overcrank Protection to protect the starter from high-temperature damage when starting the motor in extreme conditions.

Each design, including this latest PowerPro 5 starter, is application-specific and built to withstand the stop-and-go, cold-start school bus market.”
