JIT Truck Parts launches Match Made starters and alternators

Jan. 27, 2021
The full line of 12V starters and alternators “are simple to install and are designed to fit multiple makes and models,” says Michael Walker, president of JIT Truck Parts.

JIT Truck Parts, a national aftermarket truck parts distributor directly servicing national, regional, and local fleets, introduced a full line of 12V starters and alternators under JIT’s private label Match Made. These products join an expanding collection of OEM replacement Match Made truck parts for many types of heavy duty commercial vehicles and applications.

Drivers are quick to blame batteries when vehicles begin making whining noises or have trouble starting; however, these could instead be signs of failing starters or alternators. Like cell phone chargers, the alternators’ jobs are to charge batteries to power engines. The starter’s job is simplistic: Start the vehicle. The winter season is when drivers see a rise in electrical system complications due to engines being cold and sometimes slower to crank. Therefore, JIT recommends that drivers test these truck parts before making long-haul trips this winter and replace them, if necessary.

“We are proud to introduce these products into the Match Made family,” said Michael Walker, president of JIT Truck Parts. “These electrical system parts perform just as well as national competitors and match OEM standards for quality and purpose. They are simple to install and are designed to fit multiple makes and models. These truck parts come with two-year warranties to give buyers peace of mind that they are receiving reliable replacement parts from a trustworthy brand.”

Starters and alternators on commercial vehicles should be replaced every seven years or 100,000-150,000 miles, the company recommends.
