New Eagle's OpenECU NX3 EV control platform combines Megawatt Charging System (MCS) and Combined Charging System (CCS) protocols with full vehicle supervisory control in a single ECU for electrified vehicle architectures. Designed to reduce multi-controller complexity, the NX3 consolidates charging, powertrain, and auxiliary system management into one unit, cutting wiring, integration points, and potential failure modes. Built on the OpenECU and Raptor toolchain, it supports model-based development and C-code workflows from design through production. The platform is engineered to meet ASIL-D functional safety and ISO 21434 cybersecurity standards, targeting OEMs developing next-generation commercial EV platforms with simplified system architecture and scalable deployment.
