Bearing down on wheel-end efficiency key to SKF future strategy

May 7, 2024
Improving wheel-end bearing efficiency and working in predictive maintenance are a few way SKF plans on improving customer uptime in the next few years.

As a leading manufacturer of tapered bearings, wheel seals, and other aftermarket components for the CV market, SKF is a company that prioritizes innovation.

Their recent partnerships and endeavors have culminated in a number of products that put efficiency at the forefront, utilizing analytical data and other newer technologies to deliver unique benefits to drivers and fleet managers.

"Some of our newest technology is using analytical data, specifically when you talk about preventative maintenance and using predictive data in the industry to tell you before something catastrophic happens," said Michael Hartman, director of CV sales N.A., SKF. "[This means] the trucking fleets today in the commercial market can actually plan and schedule their downtime."
