The Hankook Smart Line AL52 steer/all-position tire was designed to provide extended mileage and improved rolling resistance for long haul applications. The AL52 uses a specialized tread compound and tread gauge, resulting in 7% better fuel efficiency versus the previous OTR model, the company said. Multi-round-edge sipes were employed to reduce irregular wear, with side decoupling grooves added to promote even wear.
