Michelin's X Multi Energy D2 is a regional drive tire designed for frequent stop-and-go driving and varying road conditions. The tire features an updated tread pattern and compound designed to resist tread damage from high-torque applications, along with Michelin’s Duracore casing with Infinicoil, Powercoil, and Duracoil technologies. The company says the casing is designed for up to 1 million miles and four retreads. Compared with the previous X Multi Energy D, the D2 offers a 9% improvement in rolling resistance, 10% better wet handling, and 16% better snow-starting traction when worn, based on Michelin testing. The tire is available in 295/75R22.5 LRG and 11R22.5 LRG and LRH sizes.
