National clean vehicle and fuel provider Alliance AutoGas announces that it has recently received new Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certifications covering 10 of the widely popular 2012 and 2013 Ford vehicle platforms. The year, make and model families for which Alliance AutoGas has received EPA certification of the Prins VSI System include:

  • 5.0L Ford F-150 Pickup 2WD and 4WD, 2013 and 2012 model years
  • 6.2L Ford F250 Pickup 2WD and 4WD, 2013 and 2012 model years
  • 6.2L Ford F250 Bed Delete 2WD and 4WD, 2013 and 2012 model years
  • 6.2L Ford F350 Pickup 2WD and 4WD, 2013 and 2012 model years
  • 6.2L Ford F350 Bed Delete 2WD and 4WD, 2013 and 2012 model years

The 6.2L is available from Ford with a gaseous fuel prep package, making the engine more durable while operating on LPG. Being the heavy consumer of fuel in particular, the 6.2L can yield as little as 8mpg, making propane autogas a very good option for fleet owners.

Stuart Weidie, President of Alliance AutoGas, commented, “These certifications give our Alliance members broad coverage with the F-series fleet. Once we complete the 6.8L testing in progress, we will have a wide range of F-series vehicles. Our certifications are coming in at a rapid rate and we continue to build our support and training network throughout the country.”

Alliance AutoGas, the U.S. authorized distributor for PRINS autogas technologies, converts conventional gasoline vehicles to run on clean propane autogas and installs on-site and public fueling stations.

The EPA certifications, provided by Blossman Services, Inc., equipment technology provider of Alliance AutoGas, allow Alliance to serve more fleets across the country – particularly government and commercial fleets that rely heavily upon light and medium vehicles like vans and trucks.  Current Alliance Autogas customers, who range from national transportation companies, taxi & shuttle fleets, law enforcement and private fleets in 41 states, are experiencing significant fuel cost savings and reduced maintenance when compared to conventional gasoline-powered vehicles.
