    TruckLabs updated the TruckWings (Gen 3) automatic tractor-trailer gap closure device for easier installation and operation. The per-assembled system cuts install time from eight to two hours. Other improvements include IP67-rated sensors and wire harness, a double-hinge configuration to cut weight, and quick-service bushing. The aerodynamics device provides on average 4-6% fuel efficiency savings while in operation. The aluminum flaps pneumatically deploy using the truck's air system at speeds over 52 mph, and retract when truck speed drops below 50 mph.
