You can’t miss this safety message

July 7, 2014
A smart place for a safety reminder.

Whether at work or at play or at home, safety should always be foremost in our minds.

It should be, but it often isn’t. We get into habits, and not all of them are good ones.

Signs with safety mottos and messages typically adorn shop walls and bulletin boards to remind workers to be safe.

I saw something the other day that I thought was extremely clever.

While driving along I-81 I passed a big rig. Glancing over while riding by, I noticed a decal placed right about the driver’s door handle.

The decal read: “Safety starts here.”

What a great way to remind drivers, before they get on the road, to be thinking safety.

It got me to think safety as well.

Just to be clear, I did not take the photo while driving. I had my passenger shoot the photo.
