Crane Freight & Cartage transitions 900 trailers to Road Ready system

April 11, 2018
Launched in August 2017, the Road Ready system offers fleets a complete overview of a trailer's environment, both inside and out.

Truck-Lite Co. a heavy duty lighting, mirror, telematics and visibility systems manufactures, has entered an agreement with Crane Freight & Cartage to integrate the Road Ready telematics system into the fleet's trailers.

Launched in August 2017, the Road Ready system offers fleets a complete overview of a trailer's environment, both inside and out, using a variety of customizable wireless sensors. Long-life batteries and a solar-powered master control unit allow a fleet to gather reports on untethered trailers, and the intuitive and dynamic user interface can be accessed from any device with any internet connection and displays trailer conditions in real time.

"Road Ready is able to met any fleet requirement with its versatility and ease of use," said Rob Richard, vice president and general manager of Road Ready. "Fleets like Crane are able to increase efficiency and productivity, and we're glad to be a part of their success."

Crane started transitioning its 900 trailers to the Road Ready system in November 2017 and will complete the process in the first quarter of 2018.
