Truck bed organization and storage solution manufacturer DECKED has introduced a new storage and organization package designed specifically for the Ford Explorer Police Interceptor Unit (PIU), giving law enforcement fleets a more durable, service-friendly way to secure gear and streamline their daily operations. The package centers on DECKED’s first SUV-specific Drawer System, built to withstand heavy-duty use while maintaining access to critical vehicle components.

The PIU Drawer System is made to fit within the Explorer’s cargo area without interfering with common upfits such as K-9 cages, cargo racks, and other equipment. The system provides organized, lockable storage for tactical gear and tools while preserving easy access to the spare tire. Its design allows DECKED’s Honcho 80 Case to stow beneath the tray, with room above for additional equipment or stacked items.

Built from rugged materials, the drawer and top tray each support up to 150 lbs., giving the system a 300-lb. total payload capacity suitable for day-to-day law enforcement duties. The Law Enforcement Package also adds the following features:

  • A Combo Tumbler Lock for fast, keyless access that enables officers to access gear without fumbling for keys, which is critical in high-pressure or emergency situations.
  • The weatherproof, rugged, and lockable Honcho 80 Case is compatible with DECKED’s customizable Piecekeeper PuzzleFoam, allowing officers to tailor compartments to specific gear.
  • An Improved First-Aid Kit (IFAK), which packs 133 items into the company’s Sixer 16 Case for quick, one-handed access. The kit can be stored inside the drawer or on the top tray, giving fleets flexibility depending on their existing upfits and emergency-response needs.
