The HighRise is designed to provide easier access to trailers, box trucks, or flat decks.

RETRAC announced the HighRise, a truck accessory to improve safety and speed on the job for truck drivers and workers.

The HighRise Folding Rear Entry Step, No. 409924, equips a trailer, box truck, or flat deck with safer, easier, two-step access, featuring an auto-stowing design, a universal installation system, traction, and a 600-lb capacity.

Climbing into the back of a truck or trailer can be challenging and even dangerous, the company says. HighRise was designed as an accessory that bolts onto the bumper beam and provides an easier step up, promoting speed and efficiency on the job, as well as an ergonomic work environment.

The heavy duty truck step was engineered for convenience and protection. It features a grated tread surface to maximize traction for enhanced safety. The counter-balanced design keeps the step in the folded position when not in use, and the innovative roller mechanism enables the step to auto-stow on contact to avoid being damaged when backing into a loading dock or other obstruction.

The HighRise folding rear entry step fits most 4” bumper beams, the company says. It installs easily with four bolts on most trailers, box trucks, and flat decks. The minimum pocket size for this step is 12.8” wide by 12.25” deep from the back of the bumper in the stored position. It requires 15.75” from the bottom of the bumper to the deck.
