New from Fontaine Fifth Wheel and Fontaine Parts Connection is the Ultra family of fifth wheels, designed for easier rebuilding for reduced vehicle downtime and lower maintenance costs. The four models are: Ultra NS - the only fifth wheel to offer infinite, automatic slack adjustment; Ultra LT - said to be the lightest-weight fifth wheel slider system available; Ultra HD - a lighter weight, heavy duty fifth wheel for severe service applications; and Ultra HR - a direct replacement for competitive standard duty fifth wheel top plates. Like all Fontaine fifth wheels, the Ultra models are equipped with a safety trigger that prevents high hitching.
