TMCSuperTech2009 Awards Luncheon
BONUS: Technician Training Fair
As an added bonus, all TMC attendees and TMCSuperTech2009 contestants will be able to attend the Professional Technician Development Committee (PTDC) Training Fair, a series of hands-on training sessions designed for technicians, shop supervisors and fleet managers. This year's Training Fair will offer various separate educational opportunities based on the skills stations held during the contest.
What's more, this training qualifies for continuing education credit units accepted by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF). Sessions are repeated during the two-day Training Fair, so you maximize the number of training opportunities.
MONDAY MORNING SESSIONS
Session #1
Basic HVAC Principles
During this hands-on training session, instructors will cover basic refrigeration theory and refrigerant recovery rules. The session will also offer training on how to read and interpret HVAC gauges, and apply these principles to effect proper repairs.

Session #2
Basic Electronics
This hands-on training session will help attendees better understand basic electrical theory. Instructors will offer training on how to properly check and troubleshoot electrical circuits using a digital multimeter.

Session #3
Proper Tool Usage and Repair Order Competition
This session will provide a basic overview of how to properly use micrometers, dial indicators, torque wrenches, multimeters, and other measurement tools. This session will also include an overview of how to properly fill out shop repair orders using VMRS coding, as well as offer tips on how to properly identify work accomplished codes when filing warranty repairs.

WEDNESDAY MORNING SESSIONS

2010 Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) /Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) Update
This training session will offer an overview of how 2010 selective catalytic reduction systems (SCR) work across various manufacturers. The session will cover design, component identification and operation, as well as diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) basics.

Proper Electronics and Wiring Repair
This hands-on training session will offer attendees an excellent primer on wiring methods, proper routing, and proper repair procedures for modern electronic lighting and circuitry.

Enhanced Safety Systems
This session will cover collision avoidance, supplemental restraint systems, and vehicle stability systems. Instructors will also cover the basics of troubleshooting and repairing these systems.
