Heard about the MoDe:Pro? It’s a folding electric bicycle (e-bike) from Ford (www.ford.com) designed to improve mobility in congested urban areas.
The e-bike, which is completely foldable, is designed to attach to or be stowed in a van and used, instead of the van, to make faster and easier deliveries or service calls by being able to keep moving in congested city traffic.
The MoDe:Pro is equipped with a 200-watt motor with 9-amp-hour battery that provides electric pedal assist for speeds of up to about 16 mph.
The e-bike has hydraulic disc brakes, high-power LED lights, brake and turn indicators, navigation and alerts via hand grips and tough and rugged construction with 20” wheels.
A rear-facing ultrasonic sensor warns the cyclist when a vehicle is overtaking and alerts motorists by illuminating handlebar lights.
How nice would it be to sidestep traffic bottlenecks? I must get me one.
