NEXIQ eTechnician upgrades support for EPA 2013 Cummins engines

eTechnician's latest upgrade covers newer Cummins engines and features several new tests for more advanced emissions systems, such as the AFT Intake NOx Test and the AFT Outlet NOx Test.

NEXIQ Technologies released the 2.10 eTechnician update that offers calibration support for EPA 2013 and newer Cummins engine models. The newly included models are the EPA20 X12 CM2450, L9 CM2450, B6.7 CM2450 and EPA17 X12 CM2350.

“Technicians depend on our eTechnician software for quick access to comprehensive diagnostic support,” said David Shock, NEXIQ Technologies product manager. “eTechnician 2.10 delivers that and much more. For example, this update features support for changeable parameters, including the ability to program automotive mobile regeneration minimum vehicle speed and low idle speed.”

Other additional features to the update include specialized tests for EPA ’13 and newer models, many of which will assist in diagnosing more complex vehicle systems. Some of the new diagnostic tests are the AFT Intake NOx Test, AFT Outlet NOx Test, DEF Pump Heater, EGR Delta Pressure Auto Zero, and Air Handling Performance Test.
