ZF [pro]Tech plus members receive ASE certified technical training on ZF products and systems, and have direct access to ZF experts for complex systems including ADAS, hybrid and electric drivetrains.
ZF Aftermarket released two new tools for commercial vehicle technicians, ZF MultiScan from the company’s ZF [pro]Diagnostics business, and ZF [pro]Tech plus.
“ZF [pro]Diagnostics solutions demonstrate ZF’s leadership role in helping customers transition confidently into the next generation of mobility, where digitalization, electrification, and sustainability are contributing to shifts in the aftermarket industry,” said Philippe Colpron, head of ZF Aftermarket and executive vice president, ZF Group. “We’re proud to partner with our customers to make sure they not only have the right parts, but also the digital tools and support needed to ensure vehicles operate safely and reliably, regardless of their powertrain.”
ZF Multiscan
ZF MultiScan is a diagnostic solution to allow fleets to diagnose multiple vehicle brands through one platform. According to the company, it covers nearly all makes and models, and supports all major diagnostic protocols such as DoIP and CAN FD processes. Plus, it works as a J2534 pass-through and OEM Vehicle Connection Interface (VCI) for servicing European makes. Additional features include access to live, remote assistance from ZF diagnostic experts via the ZF MultiScan VCI. From there, these technicians can run diagnostics or programming with OEM software, with all expert assistance priced on a pay-as-you-go basis.
Meanwhile, the MultiScan’s tablet and VCI features a multi-position locking kickstand, a long battery life, Wi-Fi connectivity, a built-in QR code scanner, and a camera magnifier.
ZF [pro]Tech plus
The ZF [pro]Tech plus is a training and technical support program that provides shops with OEM-level service information, more remote diagnostic assistance, and training on technologies such as ADAS and hybrid and electrified powertrains.
The system provides training for both passenger cars and light commercial vehicle repair, as well as ASE-accredited training on ZF products and systems. Beyond the training itself, technicians can also work with ZF’s technical experts on diagnostic and repair guidance. Finally, the company said it would recognize workshops that meet its standards for capability, training, and facilities.
