Mitchell 1 launches active recalls feature

The auto repair shop software company will now notify users of safety recalls on most vehicle brands through their program Manager SE.

Mitchell 1’s Manager SE shop software now includes an expanded safety recall notification feature. Building on their previous capabilities that offered recall notifications for only a few automotive brands, shops with Manager SE will now receive automatic notifications for outstanding safety recall actions for most vehicles in the U.S.

“While we’ve had the active recall feature in place for a while covering a few makes such as Stellantis, Toyota, and Mazda, the overwhelming response and demand for more coverage was so great that we expanded the service,” said Ben Johnson, director of product management for Mitchell 1.

Manager SE will now cover safety defects or systems that fail to meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards such as headlights, brakes, wheels, ADAS, seat belts, and airbags.
