Q: What happens when the A/C machine needs service?

A: All equipment, no matter how well maintained, will need service at some point. Look at the training and technical support options before selecting a manufacturer:

  • Training by a factory authorized representative is often the preferred method of ensuring the technician understands the proper operation of a particular machine. Support materials like videos, manuals and technical updates are crucial to ensure the continued comfort and proper use of the machine, therefore reducing the potential misuse and downtime of the machine for service repairs.
  • Technical support should be readily available in case of an emergency. Skilled personnel will be able to assist you with a proper diagnosis of the units over the phone and to ship out the needed service items. If the repair requires something the shop is not able to install on their own, a network of local service centers should be readily available to perform needed repairs. Check to see if your manufacturer’s service network has coverage in your area.
