Coats refreshes Maxx Lift lineup, expands full-shop focus
Coats has rebranded its Maxx Lift product line, introducing a new naming structure designed to make it easier for shops to identify the right lift for their service needs.
The refresh marks the first product line update following Coats’ 2025 brand platform launch, which emphasized the company’s focus on supporting shop workflow through equipment, service, and training.
“Many shops know Coats first for tire changers and wheel balancers, but lifts are a critical part of that same workflow,” said Kevin Keefe, director of marketing at Coats. “The Maxx Lift rebrand helps us make that connection clearer. Shops can now look to Coats for a more complete bay setup, with lift options that are easier to understand, easier to specify and built for the pace of different shops’ needs.”
Under the updated naming convention, two-post lifts will fall under the N2 Series, four-post lifts under the N4 Series, and scissor lifts under the NS Series. The company said the structure is intended to simplify lift selection by making lift type, capacity, and configuration easier to understand. Existing part numbers will remain unchanged.
The N2 Series includes two-post lifts designed for tire service and under-vehicle repairs, with Flexmetric models capable of both asymmetric and symmetric lifting configurations. The N4 Series covers four-post lifts for service and alignment applications, with capacities ranging from 15,000 to 33,000 pounds and select models featuring Camber Neutral Technology to help maintain lift levelness over time.
For alignment bays, the NS Series scissor lifts feature electronic leveling technology that continuously monitors and adjusts runway height to support alignment accuracy.
Alongside the product updates, Coats said it is expanding the tools, training, and sales support available to help shops select lifts based on factors such as bay layout, vehicle volume, service requirements, and future growth plans.
“A lift is a major decision for any shop, and it has to fit the way that shop actually works,” Keefe said. “That is why we are investing not only in the Maxx Lift product line, but also in the training, tools and sales support behind it. We want every customer conversation to feel informed, straightforward and focused on the right outcome for the shop.”
The new Maxx Lift branding and materials will begin appearing across Coats sales and marketing channels.
