IPA has launched a more compact version of the popular Alpha MUTT trailer tester line designed for mobile technicians and upfitters. Called the #5410A Alpha MUTT with ABS Slim-Line, the more compact diagnostic tool—about the size of a desktop computer— retains the full functionality of the larger platform, according to the company. The 25-lb. diagnostic tool is designed for remote-controlled light, air brake, and ABS testing with customizable configurations.

It can provide digital readouts and results for:

  • Circuit status and faults
  • Voltage, current and wattage
  • ABS diagnostics
  • Air pressure readings
  • Leakdown tests

Full reporting capabilities are possible when paired with IPA's diagnostic software app and optional tablet.

“The Slim-Line Alpha MUTT is a full-featured trailer inspection system ideal for small service trucks, shop bay walls and other areas where space is limited,” IPA President Ian Vinci said. “With all the capabilities of our larger units, this model allows a shop to install the industry’s best trailer inspection system within any aspect of their operation.”

The smaller size (16x18.5x9”) and 12+ different mounting options make the Slim-Line suitable for service trucks, preventative maintenance carts, and shop walls.
