Mechanics Time Savers' 7-piece Body and Fender Repair Tools Kit, No. BF47K

The 7-piece Body and Fender Repair Tools Kit, No. BF47K, from Mechanics Time Savers, features a hammer design with a slightly larger handle for strength, and a two-wedge assembly system for a tight fit. Polished faces are now standard, and the tools are coated with a dry layer of rust preventative.

THE REVIEW

Mike Schmidt, owner of Schok's Auto Body in Milwaukee, Wis., tested out the body and fender repair kit.

The kit includes necessary items for body repair, including three hammers, three dollies and a spoon.

"It has pretty much everything you need for picking out and dollying out dents," said Schmidt. He said having the spoon in the kit really made it a money-maker for certain jobs.

Schmidt liked that the entire kit came in a blow-molded case.

"It's nice because at a glance you know if everything's there, you didn't leave something in the car," said Schmidt. "When you do want to do a certain job, you pick this whole thing up and you've got them all."

THE REVIEW

"It's a lot better than a bench grinder. You can do a lot more with it," Leow said. "When it comes down to sharpening a chisel or putting a nice edge on a screwdriver, perfect … It's got the guide for it."

Leow also liked the feature allowing users to watch the tool as it was being sharpened.

"It's a very nice tool. It sharpens precisely," he said. "Once it's set up, it's very easy to use."
