The program allows shops and schools to sign up and connect with each other on news and requests for assistance. The companies stated that there are over 2,800 schools on the platform, and that at the start of each semester, they can post requests for on-site tours, job shadows, tool and part donations, part-time student employment, and more. Additionally, teachers can post about the classes their school offers and career day dates.
Then, shops can browse these requests and news updates and message a school directly if they can help. Even if a school doesn’t have an open request, a shop can message a school if they’d like to partner with them. Additionally, shops can post the resources they have available for teachers to view.
Schools can sign up for School Assist for free, while the platform costs $750 per year for one shop to access. Top Shop members also gain access to this platform as part of the memebership's $1,800 cost per year.
