April 23, 2014
Gibson Tire Service has converted their retread operation to the Marangoni family of products which includes their signature brand RingTread (The Splice-Less Retread) as well as UniTread.

Marangoni Tread North America announced that Gibson Tire Service in Charleston S.C. has converted their retread operation to the Marangoni family of products which includes their signature brand RingTread (The Splice-Less Retread) as well as UniTread.

Gibson Tire Service is a 3rd generation family owned company that provides commercial tire services from new and used tires, service & repair, 24/7 road side service and a complete modern retread plant. Gibson Tire Service has grown over the years to become a significant provider of commercial and Intermodal retread tires in South Carolina.

John Gibson said, “The switch to Marangoni offered us the ability to broaden our market, grow our market share, and be more competitive”.  Profitability and the ability to be an independent retreader with control over his future were the key drivers that fueled his decision to convert.

“The search for another retread supplier was exhausting but, well worth the effort. I called several dealers I knew that had converted to Marangoni and they all said it was the best decision they had ever made”, said John Gibson.

Bill Sweatman, President & C.E.O. for Marangoni, commented that, “We at Marangoni Tread North America are pleased to welcome Gibson Tire Service to our dealer network. Gibson Tire Service has a great reputation of servicing their customers with the highest standard of quality and service."
