    On the doors of many 1989-2005 Ford vans, trucks, and minivans, and 1989-1998 Thunderbird/Town Car/Cougar, the actuator that locks or releases the door is buried inside a sub-assembly. Removal and replacement of a defective door lock actuator requires a minimum of two hours labor, usually requiring complete disassembly of that door section. The AirSept FreeLock Door Lock Actuator Removal Tool fits between the two arms and forces the clip open. With FreeLock holding the clip open, techs can remove the defective door lock actuator and install a new one in just a few minutes. FreeLock works even if users cannot see behind the sub-assembly. Strategically placed nubs on its sides help position FreeLock and hold it in place while in use. Using FreeLock, removal and replacement of the door lock actuator takes no more than half an hour.
