Polar Corporation announced that it has acquired the assets of Beall Transport Equipment Co. (BTEC), the aftermarket parts and service division of Beall Corporation.
BTEC has branches in Denver; Salt Lake City; Los Angeles; Phoenix; Portland, Ore.; Kent, Wash.; and Billings, Mont. They will join the Polar Service Centers national network of parts and service locations. Branches in Portland, Phoenix, and Billings will be integrated with existing facilities currently operated by Polar's service, parts, and equipment business known as Polar Service Centers.
"With stable financial footing, these former Beall branches will have more flexibility to deliver the high-quality service that Beall customers have come to appreciate over the years," said Ted Fick, president and CEO of Polar Corporation. "Meanwhile, Polar customers will benefit from the high level of competency and experience of Beall technicians. Their expertise is exceptional within the commercial tank industry and we're excited to bring them into the Polar family."
Fick said the Beall locations align well with Polar Service Centers and its independent dealers, especially in the Western United States. Together, the organizations will provide commercial tank carriers with the most comprehensive aftermarket parts and service network in the industry.
With a nationwide network of branch locations and independent dealers, Polar Service Centers is the only national parts and service network dedicated to dry and liquid tank equipment. It provides convenient, consistent access to aftermarket parts and qualified technicians who can work on any brand of tank trailer, as well as sales of new and used tank equipment.
The transaction closed Feb. 1; financial terms were not disclosed. Beall Corporation has been operating under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection since September 2012.
