ASE offers free webinar on OBDII service modes

The September 15 webinar will explain OBDII service modes, how they work, and how technicians can use scan tool data to guide driveability diagnostics.

The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) will host a free webinar titled “OBDII Service Modes” on Tuesday, September 15, at 4:00 p.m. ET.

The webinar will cover the different generic scan tool modes and service requests available for emissions and non-emissions repairs. Automotive Seminars instructor Pedro Delatorre will explain how the various modes work, which are most useful for specific diagnostic situations, and how technicians can use them during driveability diagnostics.

The session will focus on helping technicians understand when to use different OBDII service modes and how the information they provide can help guide accurate diagnostic decisions.

Participants who attend the live session will receive a certificate of attendance approximately one week after the webinar. After registering, attendees will receive a confirmation email with information on how to join the session. Those unable to attend live are encouraged to register to receive information on accessing a recorded version of the webinar, if available. Registrants receive priority access to the recording.
