ATA, TMC announces 2023 National Technician Appreciation Week

National Technician Appreciation week will be from September 24-30, 2023, and aims to celebrate technicians and the vital work they do for the trucking industry.

The American Trucking Associations and ATA’s Technology & Maintenance Council announced the fourth annual National Technician Appreciation Week (NTAW) will be held from September 24-30, directly following TMC’s 2023 Fall meeting and National Technician Skills Competitions in Cleveland.

“The men and women who keep our trucks moving are a critical part of our industry, most deserving of recognition,” said ATA President and CEO Chris Spear. “The work that technicians do is crucial to the work our motor carriers do. By keeping our trucks safe and fit, fleets are able to deliver the essential goods that keeps our economy running.”

NTAW will provide an opportunity to celebrate the hard work and commitment of professional technicians. This week will not only acknowledge the extraordinary efforts of these dedicated workers, but also help attract prospective talent to one of the most in-demand careers in the industry. The ATA previously celebrated NTAW in both 2021 and 2022 by producing video content thanking technicians for their service.

“We are very excited to launch the fourth annual National Technician Appreciation Week, highlighting the professional technicians that are so indispensable to the industry,” said TMC Executive Director Robert Braswell. “This is the perfect time for our industry and the general public to show their appreciation and say, ‘Thank you’ to these important individuals and the valuable work they do.”
