In honor of all the hardworking dads turning wrenches, running their businesses, and supporting their families, DECKED is calling for nominations for their DTO (Dad Time Off) campaign. The program will see DECKED reimbursing a day’s worth of lost wages for 100 selected dads.
“We know the moments that matter most often come at a cost,” said Bridget Noonan, senior brand director at DECKED. “For many working dads, being present for their kids can mean missing out on a paycheck. So, for at least one day, we want to eliminate that tough choice for dads, allowing them to get after it and create memorable moments with their family.”
DECKED recently commissioned a study of over 1,000 U.S. fathers and found that 65% said they have missed an important event or activity with their kids because of work, and two in five dads said they feel financial pressure when they take time off from work to be with their kids. Three in five also responded that a few more days of PTO or a flexible work schedule would help them spend more time with their families.
To help relieve this pressure, you can nominate yourself or another dad in your life. Then DECKED will choose 100 dads from the submissions who will receive full reimbursement for a day’s worth of lost wages. Nominations will be open until June 27.
