ASE awards Chairman’s Scholarship to diesel repair student
The Portland, Oregon-based student is studying diesel/heavy-duty repair and displayed the technical skills and foundational knowledge to earn the scholarship.
The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence awarded its ASE Chairman’s Scholarship to Amelia Gianella from Portland, Oregon, for the 2025-2026 school year. Gianella is attending the Portland Community College, where she is a diesel/heavy-duty repair student.
“Of all the students who applied for the ASE Chairman’s scholarship, Amelia really distinguished herself with her academic accomplishments and extracurricular achievements,” said Jason Rainey, chairman of the ASE board of directors. “We want to congratulate Amelia on this prestigious recognition and thank all the great students who applied for the scholarship. We also want to thank the University of the Aftermarket Foundation for all their help in facilitating this scholarship.”
The ASE Chairman’s Scholarship looks for students with strong technical skills and the foundational knowledge to become an entry-level technician.
