ASE to offer free webinar on lift safety
The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence will be hosting a webinar called “A Lift Safety Discussion” on Tuesday, Feb. 3 at 4:00 p.m. ET.
The webinar will be hosted by a representative from the Automotive Lift Institute (ALI), who will discuss the proper use of automotive lifts, responsibilities of lift owners and employers and key considerations for shops and technicians. As the independent, third-party standards and certification organization for the vehicle lift industry, ALI serves as the industry’s safety resource and “watchdog.”
Topics covered will include the value of an ALI certified lift, the importance of periodic inspections, general guidance on lift operation and insights on EV lifting, and equipment care. A question and answer session will be conducted at the end of the webinar.
Participants who attend the live session will receive a certificate of attendance about a week after the event. Once they register, attendees will receive an email with information on joining the webinar, while those who cannot attend are encouraged to register anyway, so that they may be able to view a recorded session if one is available.
