ASE to offer free webinar on inductive current probes

The webinar will demonstrate how these probes can be a fast, non-intrusive way to check circuit behavior.

The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence will host a free webinar titled “Introduction to Inductive Current Probes” on Tuesday, April 21 at 4:00 p.m. ET.

The session will be led by WORLDPAC’s Adam Robertson, who will demonstrate how inductive current probes can be used as a fast, non-intrusive way to evaluate circuit and component behavior under load using measurable electrical patterns.

Topics will include high-amperage inductive current probe testing, using starter current analysis for relative compression, verifying mechanical integrity before replacing parts, capturing intermittent starter faults during normal operation, and applying pattern-based diagnostics for more accurate troubleshooting. Attendees will also see real-world examples that illustrate how to interpret current patterns for more efficient diagnostics.

Participants who attend the live session will receive a certificate of attendance about a week after the event. After registering, attendees will receive a confirmation email with details on how to join the webinar. Those unable to attend live are encouraged to register to receive information on accessing a recorded session, if available.
