The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is hosting a free webinar for service technicians on Friday, April 30 at 4 PM ET entitled “Diagnosing Cooling Systems and the Science of Today's Belt Drive Systems.”
Franklin Woodson from Gates Corporation will first provide an insightful look at belts and drives including:
- Why is the accessory drive system so important?
- How does a failing belt, tensioner, or pulley affect the accessory drive system?
- Tensioners and pulleys are failure items.
Woodson will then explore coolant science and discuss:
- How the condition of coolant can adversely affect the components in a cooling system.
- Why is cooling system maintenance so important?
- How does old, failing coolant or even the wrong coolant in a system cause issues?
- How to identify the above issues and resolve them.
Those who are not sure if they can attend are encouraged to register so they receive a follow-up email with details on how to attend a recorded session, if available.
