The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) has opened its fall registration period for technician testing and recertification. There are several ASE testing options for technicians after registration. In-person tests are offered throughout the year on days, nights, and weekends at Prometric testing centers. The ASE renewal app is also available for recertification, as long as the user’s automobile certification for levels A1-A9 have not expired. Finally, ProProctor remote testing is available for all recertification tests except for L1 and L2 level exams.

To register, go to ASE’s website to sign in and register. Once there, select ‘orders’ and then ‘store,’ and select the proper tests before checking out.
