The final new product, the SRM Discovery Communication Tracker, enables tracking and management of digital communication with dealer customers while their vehicles are being serviced.

"It's based on the concept of, every day that this asset is here and being worked on at a service shop is an opportunity for us to keep that customer informed," Pittinger explained.

This encourages service event transparency and drives customer satisfaction, aiming to improve consistency of communication by keeping shops privy to their targeted frequency.

While there isn't a specific degree of communication right for every shop, as "different dealer groups may have their own goals of how frequently they communicate with their customers," Pittinger said, it does allow for monitoring so that dealers can ensure they are hitting their communication goals and that customers are staying informed.
