I, for one, do not care for New Year’s. I’m not in a hurry for another year to end and a new one to begin, and this seems to happen faster and faster as I grow older.
To help ready myself for the inevitable New Year, around this time every year, I look for motivation and inspiration. One way I do through quotations about New Year’s.
Here are some that I believe are worth sharing:
“An optimist stays up until midnight to see the New Year in. A pessimist stays up to make sure the old year leaves.” - Bill Vaughn.
“New Year's Day is every man's birthday.” - Charles Lamb.
“Cheers to a New Year and another chance for us to get it right.” - Oprah Winfrey.
“Your success and happiness lies in you. Resolve to keep happy and your joy and you shall form an invincible host against difficulties." - Helen Keller.
“Character is the ability to carry out a good resolution long after the excitement of the moment has passed.” - Cavett Robert
“Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.” - Carl Bard.
“New Year's Day now is the accepted time to make your regular annual good resolutions. Next week you can begin paving hell with them as usual.” - Mark Twain
All the best wishes for a New Year filled with only good things, especially good health.
