PPG to present AdjustRite system capabilities at NTHECC convention

Sept. 10, 2019
The AdjustRite commercial electronic estimating system now incorporates RVs.

PPG will highlight the RV capabilities of its AdjustRite commercial electronic estimating system at the National Truck & Heavy Equipment Claims Council (NTHECC) convention October 10-12 in Memphis, Tennessee. The AdjustRite system is PPG’s professionally developed and maintained electronic estimating solution that utilizes proprietary logic and the latest in Internet technology. It is the first and only program that takes into consideration the overall repair process, according to the company.

In a presentation titled “Advancing the Power of Electronic Estimating for RVs,” set for Saturday, October 12, Doug Orr, PPG sales and development manager, will demonstrate how the AdjustRite system has been enhanced to streamline the RV industry’s complex repair and insurance claims process. The presentation will highlight the system’s ability to improve RV repair and claims accuracy, consistency, and efficiency.

“What we’ve done for trucks, we’re now doing for RVs,” said Orr. “The PPG Adjustrite system is well established as an exceptional estimating tool. It makes sense for us to leverage our commercial estimating capabilities and apply them to the RV market. With the AdjustRite system, the entire estimating and repair process is simplified and expedited. From parts identification, pricing, and acquisitions to insurance claims evaluation and handling, the AdjustRite program manages the process efficiently and makes life easier for everyone involved.”

According to Orr, an AdjustRite system pilot program for the RV market was tested and received positive reviews from repair shop owners as well as insurance claims managers. The system assesses the overall repair requirements and produces detailed estimates based on an all-inclusive database of RV parts, repair information, and logic. The system also has the ability to decode chassis characteristics. Given the complexity and almost infinite number of RV chassis variables available, this quality alone makes the AdjustRite system a useful asset for repair operations. The system currently includes a parts database for Class A motor homes. Parts databases for Class C motor homes, fifth wheels, and travel trailers will be added by the end of the year.

The RV-focused AdjustRite system can store and manage customer and parts unit information, making it available for later reference. It can also set up rate profiles for different classes of customers. It searches a continuously updated parts database to price and locate parts and ultimately generate an accurate estimate. The AdjustRite system can also facilitate fast parts procurement and — of special interest to anyone working with insurance claims — assist in quickly resolving subrogation matters.
