Ask the Expert: What are the top considerations that go into designing safe automotive workwear?

Sept. 12, 2016
When we sat down with customers to see what they look for in a garment, comfort and cooling are paramount to performing job functions to the best of their ability.

Q: What are the top considerations that go into designing safe automotive workwear?

A: Comfort is the key element we look to include when we design a garment for our Shop Collection. When we sat down with customers to see what they look for in a garment, comfort and cooling are paramount to performing job functions to the best of their ability.

Like athletes, Dickies customers are always reaching, bending and crouching. They work through both climate extremes, hot and cold. So when we introduce a new garment, we need to find comfortable and durable materials that can withstand both hot and cold environments. This also promotes safety. When you are comfortable and not worrying about the fit or feel of your clothing, you can stay focused on the job at hand.

Dickies is committed to developing performance workwear that allows auto pros to safely and effectively perform their job functions.
