Ranger debuts new RB30T wheel balancer

The Ranger Division of BendPak has released the RB30T hybrid wheel balancer. The balancer is designed to service both large, heavy truck and bus wheel assemblies as well as light-duty and passenger trucks, from buses, semi-trucks, and OTR applications, to light-duty trucks or cars.

“The new RB30T wheel balancer can do it all,” says Sean Price, director of product development. “Its versatility makes the RB30T a great choice not just for heavy-duty fleets and repair garages, but also for high-volume tire shops and mixed fleets.”

Able to switch between light-duty and heavy-duty applications with the push of a button, the RB30T also includes an integrated pneumatic wheel lift for ergonomic operation. The balancer features a re-engineered platform rated for a maximum capacity of 330 lbs. It can also work with tire diameters of up to 49.25” and widths of up to 20”. Its cycle time is seven seconds for car wheels and 20 seconds for full truck assemblies.

Meanwhile, the RB30T runs with the Ranger Drive-Check system, which uses smart balancing technology to simulate real-world conditions and look for subtle vibrations in the tire. This detection is driven by a 64-bit microprocessor and a suite of piezoelectric sensors that measure across longitudinal, transverse, and shear axes. Then, when the system detects an imbalance, it quickly recommends a correction.

Beyond its software offerings, the wheel balancer has a ribbed nylon-fiber drive belt and a counter-weighted flywheel system. It’s powered by a three-phase motor and a solid-state phase converter for consistent torque and less maintenance. The RB30T also comes with a full multi-piece commercial mounting kit, including all the necessary cones and adapters, as well as a top tray for wheel weights and side shelves with cone pegs for organization.

The RB30T wheel balancer is available on its own or with the Ranger Select package, which offers installation and training.
