BendPak's Ranger has introduced the DST30PX Professional Wheel Balancer, designed to accommodate larger OEM wheel assemblies, oversized aftermarket truck tires, and off-road tires while reducing setup time during wheel service.
The new balancer supports wheel assemblies weighing up to 145 lbs., with a maximum wheel diameter of 30" and tire diameter of 43". An open-side hood design provides additional clearance for wider tires, aggressive offsets, and bulky sidewalls, allowing technicians to position larger assemblies without repeated adjustments.
Ranger also reinforced the machine's chassis and hood assembly to reduce flex and vibration when balancing heavier wheels. A 40 mm shaft provides additional stiffness while remaining compatible with standard cones and accessories.
For measuring accuracy, the DST30PX uses a 64-tooth magnetic transducer encoder to track wheel position and identify weight placement locations. The system also incorporates a 16-bit processor and multi-directional quartz piezoelectric sensors to detect wheel imbalance.
The balancer offers Dynamic, Static, and Performance Alloy balancing modes, along with automatic braking, self-calibration, and a six-second balancing cycle. Technicians can operate the machine using manual or automatic hood-start settings.
Additional features include a quick-release hub nut, side-position brake, top-dead-center weight indicator, and tiered weight placement indicators. A multi-user save function allows operators to store preferred settings, while an LED display provides access to machine controls.
Onboard storage includes a top tray, side cone pegs, and a shelf for adhesive wheel weight rolls to keep balancing accessories within reach.
The DST30PX is ETL certified to applicable UL and CSA safety standards in the U.S. and Canada. It comes with a starter kit of adhesive and clip-on steel wheel weights, and Ranger Select setup and training are available.
